NATURAL HISTORY, a solo exhibition of work produced by Jeff Cain during his recent 2014 ART+TECH artist residency at Cerritos College Jan 27 - Mar 13

The newly established ART+TECH Artist-in-Residency is a unique annual program, which pairs a professional visual artist with the amazing technology resources available on the Cerritos College campus. During the Fall 2014 residency, the campus Technology partner was the Engineering Design Technology department. During the Nov 2014 residency, Cain worked with students from the Art Department's 3D-Design program and the Engineering Design Technology program, collaborating to produce life-sized sculptures inspired by scans of taxidermied animal specimens from local museum collections, which were then scanned, manipulated, and printed using software and printers available in the Engineering Design lab, as well as the headquarters of this year's sponsor, AirWolf 3D.
